Have you ever thought to yourself, "There has to be more to life than this!" There is. In 2020, while living what many would consider the "American Dream", God grabbed our hearts and showed us that although we felt like we had it "right", He had more...and it looked much different than the suburban lifestyle we'd been living.
What began as a curiosity about the supernatural led to a "cracked book" every now and then, as He is faithful, a personal relationship with our creator that defines our purpose. Small steps in obedience followed, leading to a bigger faith, which led to bigger steps in obedience in 2021...
When He says to move, we move. Literally.

We sold downsized our house and upsized our land. We began making steps to become as self-sufficient as possible while trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Once you see "behind the curtain" of the food and drug industry (and the entertainment industry for that matter), it's hard to unsee how toxic the things we consume really are. So we got some goats for milk, some hens for eggs, chickens twice a year that we process for meat, some cows for beef and began a community garden free to the public. We can our own food, make our own sourdough, create our own medicinal herb tinctures and teas and do as much as we can using the resources God freely provides. We also began to homeschool our 3 elementary aged sons, host a Christian boys camp in the summer and each of us have started our own businesses! In 2025 we completed a renovated a shell of a pole barn used to store hay so we can host Men's and Women's Saturday morning fellowship and Bible study as well as converted a pole barn into a 4-season building to host ministry and home church! (Neither of us had ever used power tools before we moved here but with the help of the amazing people God has brought to this place...and He truly is to get ALL of the credit, we were able to do all of this "on our own"! All as a result of pausing, asking God for His will and faithfully stepping out in obedience. The community He has given us to support and encourage us is one of our greatest blessings and it is our hope to continue to do His work through our earnest seeking of His will in our lives. We hope our journey encourages and inspires you to do the same!
